What Is CNFL?
Not just a league.
A learning environment.
CNFL is a youth sports and STEM learning program for student-athletes ages 10–17. While players compete on the field, they build real fluency in AI tools, data, and digital skills — and discover the STEM careers hiding inside the sports industry.
The sports industry is rapidly becoming a tech industry, and most young people haven't been shown the opportunity yet. CNFL is where that changes — right here in the community, through the sport they already love.
The Program
Play. Learn. Launch.
A three-phase model that takes student-athletes from the field to real STEM career pathways — and keeps the connection alive long after the season ends.
01
Play
Student-athletes compete in the CNFL flag football league across three divisions: 12U (ages 10–12), 14U (ages 13–14), and 17U (ages 15–17). Games are played through a partnership with NFL Flag — giving young people the structure, teamwork, and pride of organized sport.
02
Learn
Every player has access to SCOUT — a 10-week, AI-powered curriculum delivered through an interactive digital platform. Student-athletes explore data science, AI tools, physics of motion, and digital design through the lens of football. An AI companion guides them through every module.
03
Launch
Student-athletes connect with professionals through the Pro Mindset Speaker Series — a broadcast program featuring current and former professional athletes who share how sports, STEM, and career intersect. Young people leave the season with skills, exposure, and a pathway forward.

Why Football?
Football isn’t just a sport. It’s a tech industry hiding in plain sight.
From wearable performance sensors to broadcast engineering, player analytics to game simulation — the sports industry runs on STEM. The playing positions number in the dozens. The careers powering the sport number in the tens of thousands. CNFL gives young people the on-ramp to those careers, through a sport they already love.

EXPOSURE
STEM through Sports & Culture
CNFL uses flag football as the entry point to introduce STEM careers and concepts — making the content hands-on, exciting, and culturally relevant. We start with what young people already love and reveal the STEM that's been there all along.
SKILL
AI & Digital Literacy
Through the SCOUT curriculum, student-athletes build real fluency in AI and digital tools — the same skills reshaping how people work, learn, and compete. We strip out the jargon and focus on fluency young people can actually use.
PATHWAYS
Career Readiness & Professional Development
Through the Pro Mindset Speaker Series, student-athletes hear from professionals who show, not just tell, what the path actually looks like. We bring in people who've lived it — turning role models into reachable mentors. This is workforce development, not just enrichment.
